Mount Roraima
A UNIQUE experience in your life.
October 10th to 18th 9 days and 8 nightsAn expedition to Mount Roraima is no ordinary trip.
It's a symbolic and challenging journey, and that's why every detail needs to be carefully considered. That's exactly how we do it.
Even before starting the hike, you cross the border and spend two nights in Venezuela — one before and one after the trek. This makes all the difference: it gives you time to breathe, calmly check your equipment, have a briefing with the team, and begin the trek rested and close to the starting point.

Timeline
Crossing borders and beginning the dream.
Boa Vista x Santa Elena
The first day is already part of the adventure.
We departed from Boa Vista heading towards Venezuela, crossing the border with the full support of the team.
We had lunch in Santa Elena and stayed at a comfortable guesthouse, ideal for resting and starting to get into the expedition spirit.
In the afternoon, we have a relaxed briefing with our guides, review the equipment together, and get everything ready for the start of the journey.
Everything was planned as if it were for us — with calm, safety, and comfort, so that this dream can begin in the best possible way.

Santa Elena de Uairén – TÉK RIVER
We woke up in Venezuela after a peaceful and well-deserved night. Everything is ready—backpacks packed, equipment checked, and energy levels high. It's time to start trekking!
Being so close to Mount Roraima makes all the difference: we start the day without rushing, connected to the moment, feeling that the adventure has finally begun. The dirt road takes us between rivers, savannas, and landscapes that seem to come from another planet. There on the horizon, the giant Roraima begins to appear—and it's impossible not to get goosebumps.
The first step of this journey already comes with the feeling that something very special is about to happen.

Waking up and seeing Roraima right in front of you is indescribable.
The day begins with a golden sunrise illuminating Kukenan and Roraima. After breakfast, we cross the river and head towards Base Camp.
The road is a succession of hills and landscapes that change at every turn. The view from the cliff face is surreal, and it feels like the mountain is going to swallow us whole, it's so immense. A dip in the river at the end of the day renews body and soul for what's to come.

The most anticipated day is almost here!
The summit of Mount Roraima
Today is the big day! The climb is demanding, but rewarding with every step.
We entered a dense forest, climbing with the help of roots and stones, until we crossed a waterfall that cascaded across the path—a symbolic baptism before the summit.
The giant ferns and rock formations announce that we are arriving. And when we step onto the top… time stops.
The landscape is so unique it looks like another planet. Camping at the "Natural Hotel" is our shelter under the Roraima sky.

Exploring the heart of Roraima
Triple Point, Pit and Valley of Crystals
With our bodies refreshed and our spirits light, we set off for an intense day of exploration.
We walked to the Valley of Crystals, where the ground shines as if covered in diamonds, and continued to the Triple Point—a geographical landmark that divides Brazil, Guyana, and Venezuela. It's one of those places that makes you feel like you're in the center of the world.
Afterwards, we visited the Pit, a stone cave where you can take an unforgettable icy bath. It's a day of conquest, beauty, and silences that say it all.

Window, Abyss, Jacuzzis, LaVentana and Maverick
A day of contemplation and discovery. We walked through incredible rock formations, natural pools known as "jacuzzis," rock gardens, and rare flowers. The highlight is "The Window," a breathtaking viewpoint overlooking the Guyanese jungle—it feels like we're floating above the world.
Anyone who wants to can continue to Maverick, the highest point on Roraima, to see the endless horizon.
At night, the starry sky and absolute silence crown the journey.

Descending the giant
Last night of the trek and return to Santa Elena de Uairen.
It's time to say goodbye to the summit.
We began our descent, passing again by the ramp and through the forest, until we reached base camp, where we paused to rest and celebrate the journey. We continued to the Tek River, our last campsite on the trail. Between river swims and laughter, the group bid farewell to the mountains with full hearts and a sense of mission accomplished.
After breakfast, we headed towards the indigenous community of San Francisco de Yuruani, where we had lunch and exchanged stories with the locals before returning to Santa Elena.
There, we slept in a comfortable inn and celebrated together the end of this epic journey. There's always a get-together—a barbecue, good laughs, and that "I can't believe it's over" feeling.
Hiking time (2 days): 7 and 4 hours
Distances (2 days): 15 km and 13 km
